About the Symposium

ISCAA brings together educators, clinicians, and researchers across the broad landscape of anatomy — from classical morphology to cutting-edge imaging and surgical applications. The 2026 edition takes place in Vienna, blending its historical charm with a forward-looking scientific program.

Expect plenary lectures, themed sessions, hands-on perspectives, and vibrant discussions that connect the classroom, the lab, and the clinic.

Venue & Travel

ISCAA 2026 will take place at the historical Anatomical Institute of the Medical University of Vienna (Währinger Straße 13, 1090 Vienna, Austria).

  • Airport: Vienna International Airport (VIE) offers direct international connections and a fast City Airport Train (CAT), S-Bahn link, or regional lines to central Vienna.
  • Train: Vienna's main railway hub is Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Central Station), with direct international and regional connections. From there, you can take the U1 subway line to Karlsplatz, then transfer to U2 (Schottentor) or tram lines (D, 1, 72) for the venue.
  • Transit: Vienna has an extensive and reliable public transport network. The venue is within walking distance of U6 (Währinger Straße-Volksoper) and U2 (Schottentor), with tram lines 5, 33, 37, 38, 40–42 stopping nearby. The closest tram stop is Schwarzspanierstraße, right in front of the Anatomical Institute. Tickets are valid across U-Bahn, tram, and bus.
